"Daredevil" Season 3 is definitely coming, but Netflix is relatively quiet on what's next for Matthew Murdock and the gang. Here's everything we know so far about the upcoming "Daredevil" Season 3.

New season air date is 2017

Although nothing has been confirmed at this point, rumors suggest that "Daredevil" Season 3 might drop in 2017. For now, Netflix is releasing "Luke Cage," while "Iron Fist" is in production and "The Defenders" is definitely on top of the network's list of priorities.

At the Television Critics Association, Netflix head Ted Sarandos told IGN that "the whole cast is called on for 'The Defenders,' which changes the production schedule for the other shows." With that said, it's safe to say that "The Defenders" will come out before "Daredevil" Season 3.

Elodie Yung returns as Elektra?

Yung's Elektra was killed off in the season finale of "Daredevil" Season 2, but she was later recovered by The Hand. There's a theory that the mysterious group will use her as a weapon called the Black Sky in "Daredevil" Season 3, giving her a completely different identity and purpose.

Who's the big baddie?

Matthew Murdock has encountered some fearsome villains as Daredevil, but fans can expect that things will get more intense in "Daredevil" Season 3. There are rumors that the next big bad will be Bullseye, one of Daredevil's most popular nemesis in the comic books. Even actor Charlie Cox himself seems sold on the idea of having Daredevil come face to face with Bullseye.

"If we are fortunate enough to continue making the Daredevil series, I can't imagine doing a run of Daredevil where Bullseye doesn't show up at some point," Cox said, according to Cinema Blend. "It would be great to have him around at some point. Who would play that part I have no idea but I just think there's such an interesting, rich character there, and also of course, the history that Bullseye has with Karen Page is an interesting dynamic."

During the Season 2 production, there were rumblings that Jason Statham was cast to play the role.

Karen Page's history explored

Having Bullseye on the show opens an opportunity to explore Karen Page's history. So far, viewers only know her as the dependable and smart assistant at Nelson and Murdock, who also appears to be fervently passionate about righting the justice system. Season 2 showed a whole different side of Karen, and it might be that she's also keeping her own dark secrets.
