One of the celebrity "Pokemon Go" players is "X-Men" star Nicholas Hoult. While in the Philippines for the AsiaPOP Comicon 2016, the actor was asked how he was doing with the trendy augmented reality game.
"It's going terribly," Business World quoted Hoult as saying during the pop culture convention in Manila. "I've had fallen off playing recently because I found it difficult to find new Pokémon. Are there lots here?"
"Yes," members of the press answered the "X-Men" star. He then jokingly stood up from his chair.
Developed by Niantic for iOS and Android devices, "Pokemon Go" has been downloaded by more than 130 million people across the globe. The first Asian country to have the game playable was Indonesia.
Hoult apparently enjoyed his visit to the Philippines. On his first day in Manila, the actor visited the Rizal Monument.
"I'm having an incredible time," CNN Philippines quoted Hoult as saying. "Everyone is so welcoming. The food's been incredible. Traveling around Manila then I'm going to go see some beaches, as well."
Hoult played Hank/Beast in "X-Men: First Class" in 2011. He reprised the role in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" in 2014 and in "X-Men: Apocalypse," which was released on May 27.
Currently, Hoult is filming "Watership Down." His character in the upcoming mini-series is named Fiver.
On the big screen, Hoult will star Flanagan in "Sand Castle." The war drama film also stars "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" star Henry Cavill as Captain Syverson , "Ride Along 2" star Glenn Powell as Falvy and "Snowden" actor Parker Sawyers as Sergeant Robinson.
In 2017, Hoult will play J. D. Salinger in the biopic "Rebel in the Rye." Among his co-stars are "American Horror Story" star Sarah Paulson, who will play Dorothy Olding, and "Switched at Birth" alum Zoey Deutch, who will play Oona O'Neil.
