With "Supernatural" Season 12 approaching fast, talks of spinoff and another season have also started doing the rounds. Fans love this record-breaking fantasy series and it looks like the creators are also willing to treat them with another spinoff and season.
The amazing ratings of the show and the love of audiences seem to be compelling the makers to renew the series for one more season, TV Line reported. What is more, a spinoff may also be in the offing as it is a priority for The CW President Mark Pedowitz. At the recent summer press tour of Television Critics Association, he said that they will be glad to have Bloodlines (the proposed spinoff) developed further and are waiting for the approval of Warner Bros.
Notably, the spinoff did not take off well when it happened as a backdoor pilot in the ninth season and the fiasco led to speculations among fans that it might not happen at all. The rumors grew stronger with time as there seemed to be no progress on the production front. However, Pedowitz's statement has bunked all the negative stories and fans can finally rejoice as the future of the spinoff is as bright as it can get.
Talking of spinoff, it is being said that fans want it to focus on Castiel, claims Carter Matt. They are looking forward to seeing more of their favorite character. Some are also in favor of Lucifer and Amara and want the spinoff to focus on them.
Well, one does not know what the makers will finally decide, but it is sure that fans would be delighted with the spinoff, whether it revolves around Lucifer, Amara or Castiel. As of now, they can take delight in the fact that the upcoming season is only a month away and promises to bring some great drama and action to the fore.
Dean and Sam will not reunite but the former will find out ways to save his brother. Mary's return is also a prominent theme and the upcoming season will focus on the implications of her comeback.
