Apple has released iOS 10.0.1 update to squash the hopes of people who were looking forward to jailbreak iOS 10. However, within a week of releasing iOS 10.0.1, a hacker and developer named Luca Tedesco has already broken iPhone 7 running on the latest iOS update.

Tedesco has posted an image on Twitter that shows a matte black colored iPhone 7 (iPhone9,3) running on iOS 10.0.1 with Cydia 1.1.26 installed. Even though the Italian developer has successfully managed to jailbreak iOS 10.0.1, he is keeping the exploit private, Phone Arena reported.

At present, three is no jailbreaking tool available to jailbreak iPhone 7. Hence, it is not known whether the developer has used untethered jailbreaking technique. Numerous jailbreaking groups such as team Pangu from China are working on jailbreaking tools to exploit iOS 10, Ubergizmo reported.

However, none of them have released a tool that allows users to conveniently jailbreak iOS 10. Since iOS 10.0.1 update has been jailbroken, it is likely that a public version of iOS 10 jailbreaking tool will be released in the near future.

There are various kinds of apps made for iOS that are not available on Apple's app store. However, they can be found on Cydia app store. In order to install apps from Cydia, iOS device users are required to first jailbreak their devices. Jailbreaking also providers with deeper access to the hardware of iOS device to builds apps and perform tweaks.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were announced on Sept. 7. The iPhone 7 has a 4.7-inch screen that supports 750 x 1334 pixels whereas the iPhone 7 Plus has a full HD 5.5-inch screen. Both are powered by Apple A10 Fushion chipset that includes quad-core processor and six-core graphics along with iOS 10 OS.

The iPhone 7 comes with 2 GB of RAM whereas iPhone 7 Plus has 3 GB of RAM. Both the phones have 32 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB internal storage options. Both the smartphones lack 3.5 mm audio jack, but they allow earphone connectivity through their Lightning ports. Both devices also feature fingerprint readers.

The iPhone 7 has 12-megapixel rear camera with features like OIS and quad-LED flash. Its selfie shooter is of 7-megapixel. The iPhone 7 Plus has a 12-megapixel dual camera setup on its rear panel that come with features such as OIS and quad-LED flash. It also features 7-megapixel selfie snapper.

The iPhone 7 is packed with a 1,960 mAh battery. On the other hand, iPhone 7 Plus is equipped with a 2,900 mAh battery.
