SimGuruMegs commented that players will be able to use the various lot traits even without the "City Living" expansion pack. She indicated that the game's development team will also consider adding more lot traits in upcoming expansion packs.

EA unveiled the new lot traits in its official apartments trailer that was released on Sept. 20, Tuesday. The said clip teased six of the twenty apartment traits that players may choose from in the upcoming "City Living" expansion pack. Some of these lot traits include the romantic aura trait, the chef's kitchen trait for Sim foodies, the filthy trait, the good schools trait, party place and the home studio trait.

The gaming company also indicated that the expansion pack's new world will feature a lifestyle where a player's Sim's life may be affected by other characters in the same apartment building. In a press statement posted on The Sims website, EA revealed the gameplay differences between a Sim residing in a residential house versus a rented apartment. Some of these changes include the limited living space, interactions with other characters in apartment hallways and potentially nosy neighbors.

The company's recent announcement also teased of the expansion pack's quirky new characters such as strange landlords, wacky neighbors and eccentric Sims. EA stressed that the game's new apartment lifestyle will focus on community living including the various activities and festivals in the new world San Myshuno. These activities include cultural events, geek conventions, open street festivities and more.

"The Sims 4 City Living" expansion has been slated for release on Nov. 3 on both PC and MAC platforms.
