ASUS is teaming up with gaming chair maker Secretlab to develop a series of ROG-branded products that will surely fit in to many gamers' red and black rig setups.

The ASUS Republic of Gamers brand has been around for a decade and has been a favorite for PC gamers ever since. They have sold gaming keyboards, peripherals and even PC components themselves.

For their tenth anniversary, the company wants to sell ASUS ROG gaming chairs to complete the setup. Users who already own several ROG-branded items would be enticed by the new chair which looks comfortable yet sticks with the red and black color motif.

ASUS's ROG gaming chair made by Secretlab is a variant of the latter's Throne V2 product, CNET has learned. The ROG logo can be seen both in the back and front of the chair.

Gaming peripherals have become increasingly popular in the past few years as some brands continued to make appearances in e-sports tournaments and such. The popularity of streamers showing off their gears also helped in propelling the business even farther.

There is nothing really special about the ASUS ROG gaming chair except for the branding as the features just come from the Throne V2 product from Secretlab. It still has paddings, arm rests and lumbar support for gamers who play their MOBAs or shooters all day long.

There is no word yet on pricing but the Throne V2 currently costs around $350 in Singapore as of this writing, Toms Guide reported. The ASUS ROG branding could propel the price even higher considering that their products are already expensive.

Good news for those who are just planning to buy their desktop rig as the ROG chair will be bundled for free with the G20 or GT51 purchase. The G20, which is powered by an NVIDIA GTX 1070, starts at $1449 and can still be more expensive depending on the other parts installed.

ASUS's GT51 starts at $2700 with a GTX 1080 videocard which is already expensive in itself. The purchase could be worth it considering that they will be bundled with the ROG Secretlab gaming chair.
