Despite the fact that "Resident Evil 7" will be launching on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, Capcom announced the sequel during Sony’s E3 2016 event, pointing toward a relationship between the publishers that could have led to the exclusivity period, Polygon reported.

However, there is still a possibility that "Resident Evil 7" will be available to other VR gear headsets as the exclusivity window of the seqeul to PS VR is only 12 months, and after that gamers will experience it using the Oculus Rift and Vive VR gears.

In other news, Capcom will likely add a "Resident Evil 2" remake demo in "Resident Evil 7" as a NeoGaf user claimed that the strip numbers on the left hand side of the "Beginning Hour" demo featured clues on "RE2" remake.

The second string of numbers corresponds to the product ID of the first "Resident Evil" in the PlayStation console specifically the "Director’s cut" which that included a demo of "Resident Evil 2".

Gamers speculated that Capcom will include the "RE2" remake demo in "Resident Evil 7" as soon as the game is finished and will likely be added in a bundle pack, Gamerant reported.

Aside from the "Resident Evil 2" remake demo, "Resident Evil 7" will be one of the few games to featured in Sony's update PS4 console, the "PlayStation 4 Pro" with 4K and HDR graphics.

The PS4 Pro console is slated to launch next month and several current and upcoming games are line up for it such as "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare", "Battlefield 1", "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End", "Spider-Man", "Final Fantasy XV" and many more.

Previous reports revealed that Capcom had a hard time developing the sequel due to the high-resolution performance of the PS4 and Xbox One consoles, leading to the decision to make the game compatible with the new PS VR.

With the PS VR, they could not bring "Resident Evil 7" to market unless it had photorealistic graphics on par with live-action films. To create that level of quality, conventional production methods would take too long and would cost too much. Thus, Capcom had to rethink there strategy on how to they develop and promote their games and teased a new RE-Engine for the sequel.

"Resident Evil 7" will launch on Jan. 14, 2017 for the PS4, PS VR, Xbox One and PC platforms
