One of her powers revealed in the pilot episode is her power to manipulate people. She has gotten control over Damon and Enzo and ordered the two to find bad people for her to devour herself. Accordingly, Damon seems to have totally given up his humanity as he did not even think twice of following Sybil's orders, while Enzo still hangs on the possibility of Stefan and Bonnie finding them.

In fact, he did a good job leaving off trails linking to the Odyssey, as Bonnie finally realized that they are up against a siren.

For the upcoming episode, Sybil will accordingly make those who come her way in Season 2 either dead or killers. Meanwhile, Stefan's romantic relationship with Caroline will be brought to the next level, with the latter planning to live with him. He is busy with something else aside from thinking of a way how to save his brother.

One of the many characters from previous seasons will also make an appearance in the second episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. According to spoilers, Sarah Salvatore will be making her first appearance, and she is believed to be being pursued by Damon and Enzo.

Meanwhile, Tyler Lockwood will have his first appearance in episode 3, wherein he will try to save Damon's humanity. Many fans are looking forward to their encounter as they are not considered as the best of friends.

In an interview with TVLine, Paul Wesley said that the finale season will be about the evil sins by different characters and the different ways on how they will pay for them. Basically, this is why this season will have religious undertones.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 airs every Friday on The CW.
