"Supernatural" Season 12 episode 8 featured an epic fight between the Winchester brothers and Lucifer who, at that time, inhabited the body of the U.S. President. Titled "LOTUS," the said episode ended with Sam and Dean successfully expelling Satan from the president's body and sending him back to his hellish cage.

Despite stopping Lucifer from his rise to power, the villainous character's yet-to-be-born child will introduce one of the CW show's interesting storylines. Recently, showrunner Andrew Dabb told Entertainment Weekly that even if Satan was vanquished from earth, his "influence will still be felt."

Apart from the said character's unborn child with the now pregnant Kelly (Courtney Ford), some of the stories and myths about Satan will also be featured in the CW series. Dabb teased that the upcoming "Supernatural" Season 12 episode 12 will involve a "long-forgotten Lucifer lore" given the said character's unborn baby.

The "Supernatural" executive producer shared a similar statement in an earlier interview with Mashable where he talked about Lucifer and the said character's powers. Viewers can expect to see story developments that will show that Satan will still able to orchestrate certain events even while encaged.

Dabb also commented on Lucifer's unborn child and teased that the baby will be a boy. Referring to the devil's baby as a "son," the showrunner revealed that the introduction of Lucifer's "powerful" child will mark the beginning of the series' plotline about the Nephilim who are children born from a human mother and a divine being.

"Supernatural" Season 12 airs every Thursday on the CW. Watch a teaser clip for the upcoming episode below:
