Dean and Sam have gone through several challenges over the course of their supernatural hunting journey where they battled ferocious beings and even Lucifer himself. However, the upcoming "Supernatural" Season 12 episode 11 might break the Winchester siblings' bond given a memory erasing spell that could change Dean's life forever.

Titled "Regarding Dean," the said episode will feature a temporary partnership between Sam and Rowena (Ruth Connell) to find a cure for the rapidly becoming amnesiac Dean, according to episode spoilers posted on Spoilers Guide. After a hex affected Dean's memory, Sam will need to find a powerful family of witches to save his brother.

Meanwhile, viewers can expect to see several comedic moments as Dean becomes more carefree and gets to enjoy more fun activities like taking a spin on a bull-riding machine. However, with the spell removing the said Winchester brother's memory one by one, Dean might end up forgetting who he is, as well as his family and friends.

In an earlier interview with TVLine, showrunner Andrew Dabb shared that the "Memento-type loop" spell that hit Dean will lead to some heartbreaking moments. There will be scenes in the upcoming "Supernatural" Season 12 episode 11 where Dean will begin to forget Sam, according to the CW show's executive producer.

Dabb also commended Ackles for doing a "great job" of portraying a more childlike Dean in the said episode. He added, "For [Dean], as someone who struggles with all the baggage from years and years of doing a very, very difficult job, it almost becomes freeing, in a way ... Then it becomes a much more tragic story..."

"Supernatural" Season 12 episode 11 will be released on Feb. 9, Thursday, on the CW. Watch the teaser clip below:
