After a brief mid-season hiatus, "Riverdale" is ready to return to The CW this month. The high school drama only has six episodes left and more secrets are expected to be uncovered.

One of the many aspects of "Riverdale" that will be brought to the center in the remaining episodes will be Jughead's relationship with his father. "There are definitely twists and turns to it, but he's very much in the hot seat from this point moving forward," executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa told Entertainment Weekly. He explained that people will begin to discover a lot of the things that Jughead's dad, FP Jones, has done in the past.

Sacasa also teased the possibility of FP being involved in Jason Blossom's murder. "It absolutely does seem like FP was intimately involved with at least one or both of those things," referring to the fact that FP had Jason's letterman jacket, which should've been fried up after the car where Jughead and Betty found it went up in flames.

However, FP Jones being responsible for Jason Blossom's death seems like an easy way to go about things, and some fans believe that there's a different, more unexpected suspect.

Fans extracted some clues from a video uploaded by The CW on March 23, in which the cast discussed their theories on who Jason's killer is. Cole Sprouse, who plays Jughead in the series, casually said in the video, "I killed Jason Blossom."

"None of the other guys are gonna know about it either because I'm only talking to the audience," the actor in character said.

Although it's possible that Sprouse is just trolling fans and leading them on, having him as the killer is actually quite possible. He narrates the show and shows a great interest in the case as he writes a detail book about. He also volunteers to help Betty solve the crime.

What's more, KJ Apa, who plays Archie on "Riverdale," already knows who the killer is. In an interview with TooFab, he said he "wasn't surprised" when he found out.

Other viewers, on the other hand, rebuffed the theory, contending that Jughead is one of the four main characters and the show couldn't proceed with Jughead convicted of a crime.
