President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani and his Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah have turned towards Washington to focus on the reconciliation with the Taliban as the fighting season begins. The two competitors for the government have joined hands for the betterment of Afghanistan.

Efforts to bring Taliban to the table have gained pace recently due to the present conditions in the world. Another reason behind negotiating with Taliban is the lack produced in the past decade.

The four-day official trip to Washington was organised this Saturday, where they shall address the Congress in order to persuade them for talks with the Taliban.

The president Ghani was in Saudi Arabia this week while his Chief Executive was in India to try to obtain regions support in reconciliation with the Taliban.

The Afghan leaders are trying their best to obtain the support of the US in this important time. Afghanistan has gone through devastating times and it doesn't want itself to be the bait again.

A Western Diplomat has said," One of the factors which is motivating President Ghani to act now could be trying to make as much progress as possible before the fighting season begins but it's not the only factorm,'' Dawn News reported .

The visit will also address the possible future alliance between both countries.

A senior Afghan official told Deutsche Welle," The meetings in the US will focus on another key point, the financial support to Afghanistan which has been secured until 2017 but needs to be confirmed for the following five years. "

These meetings be really crucial and would decide the fate of the people of Afghanistan. The thing that has caused resentment against negotiations is the experience of the Pakistani government who were betrayed in the name of negotiations .

Since September Ashraf Ghani has tried his utmost best to improve relations with neighbouring country Pakistan who can prove to be a key partner in the reconciliation project. The economy and security of both countries has been sacrificed in the fight with terrorists.

Many Countries have decided to take part in the reconciliation. Now it is up to the US to either fight or reconcile.
