"Claire's secret is revealed; Lena returns home; police arrest the suspected killer who makes a full confession; Victor goes to extreme lengths to protect Julie; Camille learns the horrifying consequences of her attempt to help," reads "The Returned" Episode 8 synopsis on TV.com.

"We start to go down some story paths that by episode eight we are completely out on our own," "The Returned" co-show boss Raelle Tucker told Variety in an earlier interview. The audience that followed "Les Revenants" is about to be taken to a whole new story realm.

In "The Returned" Episode 7, Claire, Jack and Camille face the parents who lost their children in the same bus accident that killed Camille. Peter convinces Camille to help these parents, even as they were attacking her for being chosen to "return" when their kids remained dead.

Also in Episode 7, Adam lets Lena go, believing she would not talk to the authorities about him. It remains to be seen whether Adam is the one who makes "full confession" in this week's new episode sysnopsis.

"The Returned" co-showrunner Carlton Cuse ("Lost") has also said in a previous interview that this A&E adaptation is not about finding out why the deceased characters are returning. It is about how life progresses around them and their loved ones in an unexpected new chapter.
