Kate Middleton and Prince William name their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. According to Kensington Palace, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have decided to name her Charlotte and the name also include Diana.
"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
The baby will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge," The British Monarchy Facebook page announced earlier today with a picture of the royal princess baby.
Telegraph reported that the betting industry might have paid folks one million pounds for guessing the correct name of the royal princess.
"Charlotte was the hot tip over the weekend and royal watchers up and down the land are quids in. We may have lost a fortune but we're paying out with a smile and wish the Duke and Duchess all the best," Jessica Bridge said (via Telegraph).
Meanwhile, according to BBC, the Queen and some other royals in the family were told the name of the baby before the palace announced the same for the public. To commemorate the birth of the royal baby, gun salutes were done in London.
