Quicksilver may appear in "Avengers: Infinity War" with the help of a substance called "Terrigen Mist," which is used by beings called Inhumans. Inhumans are a race of altered human beings resulting from experiments involving a genetic code to transform and acquire superhuman abilities.

Terrigen Mist is believed as lethal for humans; however, it can modify the biology of the Inhumans.

As for Quicksilver, the Mist helped him gain time traveling abilities, which served as dire enhancement to his former super speed.

The speedster is also linked to appear in the next "Avengers" film as Taylor-Johnson previously talked about an alternative costume for his character, as per Cinema Blend.

The "Godzilla" star said that the costume was an "alternative" and it was set from the very start. The actor also added that the said costume will give an "emotional twist" and a "surprise" to the movie.

Is Quicksilver's appearance in "Avengers: Infinity War" the "surprise" Taylor-Johnson is talking about? It can be possible for the speedster to be seen in the film wearing the alternative costume as he is able to travel thru time because of the Terrigen Mist.

"Avengers: Infinity War" is a two-part film that serves as a sequel to "The Avengers" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron." The films will center on the Titan Thanos and his acquisition of the Infinity items.

The films will be the 18th and 21st installments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the sixth and ninth films in Marvel's Phase Three.

"Avengers: Infinity War - Part I" is slated to premiere in theaters in May 2, 2018 while "Avengers: Infinity War - Part II" is set to hit theaters on May 3, 2019.
