Colin Trevorrow's "Jurassic World" has the biggest global opening of all time. It has topped David Yates' "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 2" with a global opening of $483 million and James Wan's "Fast and Furious 7" with a global opening of $398 million.

Aside from having the biggest global opening, "Jurassic World" also made a record as the first film to gross more than half a billion dollars in just one weekend, according to The Wrap.

Trevorrow's sequel to the "Jurassic Park" film triad was released on June 12 and has made an estimated weekend gross of $205 million in the United States and Canada and an estimated total worldwide gross of $512 million, as per Box Office Mojo.

"Jurassic World" is distributed by Universal studio and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Omar Sy, Judy Greer, Vincent D'Onofrio, and BD Wong, among others.

Paul Feig's comedy film "Spy" ranked second in the weekend box office, in which it got an estimated weekend gross of $16 million in the U.S. and Canada and an estimated worldwide gross of $113 million after its release on June 5.

Distributed by Fox, "Spy" stars Melissa McCarthy, Jason Statham, Jude Law, Rose Byrne, Allison Janney, Bobby Cannavale, and 50 Cent, among others.

Brad Peyton's action film "San Andreas" came at the third spot, with an estimated weekend gross of $11 million in the U.S. and Canada and an estimated worldwide gross of $307 million after its release last May 29.

"San Andreas" is distributed by Warner Bros. and stars Dwayne Johnson, Carla Gugino, Ioan Gruffudd, Paul Giamatti, and Alexandra Daddario, among others.

Leigh Whannell's horror film "Insidious: Chapter 3" grabbed the fourth spot with an estimated weekend gross of $7 million in the U.S. and Canada since its release on June 5. To date, the horror film has made an estimated worldwide gross of $67 million.

Distributed by Focus Features, "Insidious: Chapter 3" stars Whannell, Lin Shaye, Stefanie Scott, Dermot Mulroney, Tate Berney, Michael Reid MacKay, Hailey Kiyoko, and Angus Sampson, among others.

Elizabeth Bank's "Pitch Perfect 2" stood at the fifth spot, as it made an estimated gross of $2 million in the U.S. and Canada an estimated worldwide gross of $256 million since its release on May 15.

"Pitch Perfect 2" is distributed by Universal Pictures and stars Banks, Anna Kendrick, Skylar Astin, Rebel Wilson, Adam DeVine, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow, Kailee Steinfeld, and Katey Sagal, among others.
