With Paul Feig's "Ghostbusters" film hitting the big screen next year, the actor who is set to play the main villain of the supernatural comedy film has been revealed, Neil Casey.

The actor is also part of Armand Iannucci's HBO comedy series "Veep," along with "The Hangover" actor Matt Walsh. Walsh will play a character name Rourke and similar to Casey's role, Walsh's role is not fully specified at this moment.

Avid readers of the "Ghostbusters" comics are familiar that Rowan Schow was a magician, who inexplicably vanished in the year 1944, the same period when a horror movie entitled "The Deathless Image" was released.

It was said that the Schow's spirit possessed the film and people's belief to that idea makes the magician stronger, enabling him to unleash sinister acts and cause trouble. He and his follower were debilitated by an imaginative boy named Sergio Fernandez, which let the Ghostbusters defeat and trap the magician's spirit.

While Schow is a spirit in the comics, Feig's take on his "Ghostbusters" has not revealed if Casey's character is a ghost villain or a human being who is able to summon ghosts, as per Cinema Blend.

"Ghostbusters" serves as a contemporary version of Ivan Reitman's 1984 "Ghostbusters," which is about three bizarre parapsychologists who commenced a ghost-catching business. Feig's upcoming film stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon, and Chris Hemsworth, among others.

Feig's "Ghostbusters" is set to hit the big screen on July 22, 2016.
