"Vikings" actor Travis Fimmel will star in the upcoming fantasy movie "Warcraft." He will be playing the role of protagonist Sir Anduin Lothar in the movie adaptation of the famous online game.

Fimmel expressed his excitement about the movie in his interview with IGN. He lauded the visual effects of the movie and though the film is not yet finished, he thinks that it is "amazing."

Also, Fimmel said that he enjoyed working on the film along with Toby Kebbell who plays the counterpart to Fimmel as the head of the orcs in the movie. He described Kebbell as a "great fellow."

Also known as Ragnar Lothbrok in the "Vikings," Fimmel said that he had to adjust because his role in that famous TV series is different from being the lead star in "Warcraft," noting that "Vikings" is about raw brutality while in this upcoming movie, it is more inclined on special effects.

In his interview with Crave Online, the "Vikings" actor further elaborated the distinction of fighting style between his two projects and said he had to adjust. Though he has not played the game, he was amazed by the number of players who play the "Warcraft" game, and was aware that the movie is close to the actual game.

"They really kept it true to the game and you get a pretty good sense of the game just from what we're doing on set," Fimmel said. Aside from being the lead man in the "Vikings," Fimmel has also co-starred in a TV series, "The Beast."

Fans of "Warcraft" expressed their excitement about the upcoming movie counterpart, after they saw the official movie posters revealed on the official Facebook page of the movie.

The shooting of the movie is finished and is currently working on CGI effects. According to its director Duncan Jones, the special effects for the movie will be amazing. The movie, co-written by Charles Leavitt, will hit the big-screen in March 11, 2016.
