Several reports suggest that the tech giant Apple is working on a bigger edition of iPad called iPad Pro. If reports are anything to go by, the software company may announce the iPad Pro in October 2015. Also,  Microsoft Surface Pro 4 may release on October 4.

Both devices are worth considering.

Apple has partnered with Sharp to supply 12.9 inches Open Cell LCD screens for the new tablet, DigiTimes reported. In addition, General Interface Solution (GIS) will provide the touch modules and LCM assembly.

The manufacturing of the upcoming tablet is set to begin in September and full-fledged production will start in October. According to reports, the Cupertino giant is aiming to make 5.5 million units of the large-sized tablets.

Rumors are doing the rounds that the Apple iPad Pro will feature a Force Touch screen and an optional Bluetooth stylus. The 12.9-inch screen will have a resolution of 2048 x 2732 pixels.

The company's new iPad is an attempt to offset the slowing demand for tablets. Several customers have been making the move to big-sized phablets or smartphones. It is expected that the new tablet will appeal to the professional market, and the addition of a stylus option can enhance its appeal.

The sales of the new tablet may start in October or November this year, according to Phone Arena.

Meanwhile, according to reports, the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 may launch in October of this year. Reports also suggest that the form factor of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will be similar to that of the Microsoft Surface Pro 3. In addition, the Surface Pro 4 will support the SP3 docking station.

The tech giant Microsoft may release the Surface Pro 4 with a bigger screen and better resolution. It is expected that new tablet will be slimmer and lighter than the Surface Pro 3. The Surface Pro 4 will feature the new Intel Skylake processor.
