"Suicide Squad" actor Jay Hernandez has received some gifts from The Joker, who is played by his co-star Jared Leto.

Hernandez will play the role of El Diableo in David Ayer's DC Comics Film "Suicide squad." On Aug 22, he shared a photo on his official Instagram account. The photo shows The Joker's gifts, including a deck of cards with a Joker card on top of the box, an enigmatic object wrapped in newspaper, and a white envelope with the word "diablo" written in a child's scribble.

Nicely captured, Hernandez's photo was captioned "My dear friend The Joker gave me a gift... inside is a glimpse into the mind of a mad man. #putasmileonthatface" The photo got more than 1,000 likes.

Leto started giving gifts to his co-stars in June, which is suitable for the actor's character, as per Comic Book. Along with Hernandez, Will Smith, who is playing Deadshot, also received some bullets from the Clown Prince of Gotham while Margot Robbie, who is playing Harley Quinn in the film, got a live rat.

As per Cinema Blend, Leto seems to be successful in internalizing his character as his own while showing fans his take on the Clown Prince of Gotham. This can be affirmed by Jai Courtney, who is playing Captain Boomerang, as he had not seen Leto "out of character" during their filming.

Ayer's take on The Joker will also put a mark on its own in DC's Cinematic Universe. Showcasing a blend of old and modern touch, the villain will feature body tattoos and jeweled teeth, along with his pale skin, green hair, and red lips.

Aside from Hernandez, Leto, Smith, Robbie, and Courtney, "Suicide Squad" also stars Cara Delevingne, Karen Fukuhara, Viola Davis, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood, Adawale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Joel Kinnaman, Adam Beach, and Common, among others.

Ayer's "Suicide Squad" is set to premiere in theaters on Aug. 5, 2016. Watch the official trailer here:
