Everything that Briton Daniel Medforth saw was green and he was sick, dizzy and hallucinating. That was some of the effects of swallowing 35 Viagras in one hour which he did as a joke while drunk.

The other and more prominent effect was suffering an erection for five days that the 36-year-old married man had to be hospitalized. The Yorkshire resident recounts that the hard on would not subside, reports the New York Daily Post.

During the 36 hours that he was confined in the hospital, Medforth observes that some of the paramedics were resisting from laughing at his constant state of arousal, although he credits them for being professional and caring.

After he was discharged, had to have further bed rest at home, although his penis never had a rest because although his genital softened a bit, whenever it brushed again something, it went back to an erect state.

Ironically, in the same week it happened to Medforth, another UK resident had a 2-week erection on doctors' order. The Scot man, Mohammen Abad, also did not suffer any side effects; in fact, he needed to have a long-term erection to heal his 8-inch bionic genital.

Abad suffered from a vehicular accident when he was 6, which damaged his penis and scrotum. It took him 100 surgeries over three years which began when he was 40 before Abad had a hard on. Doctors at University College London crafted a penis using skin from his leg and placed two tubes inside his phallus.

With one button, liquid fills the tube and Abad - who is still a virgin and single - would have an erection. To return to a flaccid state, he would need to press another button on his testicles, reports IBTimes.

What happened to the two men shows how science can be used and misused and its positive and negative impact on a body part that most men consider very important.
