Additionally, the revival will consist of four 90 minutes episodes; however, no official comments have been received from Warner Bros and Netflix representatives.

The program will focus on schooling, romantic and family relationships, and is based out of a fictional town in Glasgow, Connecticut, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.

The production is set to start filming in early 2016, although, Edward Herman, who played Richard Gilmore died earlier this year.

Another key character of the play, Sookie St. James, played by Melissa McCarthy is also unlikely to return. Some of the recent success of McCarthy include "Bridesmaids" and "The Heat"  and she is scheduled to appear in "Ghost" reboot.

According to rumors, Amy Sherman - Palladino have not actually seen the ending of final season as she faced a contract dispute with Warner Bros. Hence she has always been keen to have an ending according to the storyline.

According to Amy Sherman - Palladino, the beauty of "Gilmore" or family relationships is that it never ends, and one does not "really run out of story. "

"Gilmore Girls" first premiered in 2000 on WB network, and then was transferred to The CW in 2006 for the final season.
