The LG G Vista 2 smartphone, which was announced by tech giant LG Electronics in September, is currently available for purchase in the U.S. via wireless carrier AT&T with a price tag of $449 off-contract.

As the successor of the original LG G Vista handset that was released last year, the LG G Vista 2 features improved specs over its predecessor for a reasonable price. Here's the difference between the two.

LG G Vista

The LG G Vista sports a 5.7-inch phablet size IPS LCD display screen with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. This phone came with the previous Android KitKat version operating system pre-installed, along with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 400 processor under the hood.

The processor is accompanied by 1.5GB of RAM, up to 8GB of internal memory space, and a large 3200 mAh battery. The color available for the LG G Vista is metallic black.

As for the camera, the LG G Vista comes with an 8 megapixel unit on the back and a 1.3 megapixel shooter on the front.

LG G Vista 2

The LG G Vista 2, on the other hand, sports the same 5.7-inch IPS LCD display screen size, but with a higher 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. This device runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop version operating system and packs Qualcomm's Snapdragon Qualcomm MSM8952 Snapdragon 617 processor inside, according to GSM Arena.

The LG G Vista 2 device comes with 2GB of RAM, up to 16GB of built-in memory storage, and powered by a large 3000 mAh battery. Unlike its predecessor, the new phone is equipped with a Stylus, and comes with an upgraded 13 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5 megapixel front-facing shooter.

Like the popular LG G4, the LG G Vista 2 also comes with the Color Spectrum Sensor and laser autofocus capability. The new phone is available in metallic black as well. It's currently available on AT&T for $50 on a two-year plan, according to Digital Trends.

As of this time, It's unclear whether the LG G Vista 2 smartphone will make its way to other markets in the world.
