US wireless carrier Verizon recently unveiled its latest tablet, Ellipsis 10, which is available for $299 off-contract and at $199 two-year contract. In addition, buyers will also have a chance to pay only $12.49 for 24 months.
The announcement of the Ellipsis 10 tablet by Verizon comes after the device was previously leaked in October by tipster Evan Blass.
The Ellipsis 10 sports a 10.1-inch IPS TFT LCD display screen with a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution that has a pixel density of 224ppi, and protected by an oleophobic coating, according to Phone Arena.
Under the hood, the tablet packs a quad-core 1.5GHz processor, along with 1GB of RAM, and up to 16GB of built-in expandable memory storage (up to 32GB capacity via microSD card).
It is powered by a massive non-removable 9,100 mAh battery that offers up to 25 hours of usage time. It's worth noting that the battery is the highest of any 10-inch tablet on the wireless carrier's 4G LTE network, according to Verizon.
In addition, the Ellipsis 10 comes with a 5 megapixel camera on the back and a 2 megapixel shooter on the front. The device is accompanied by a smart amplifier and angular-firing stereo speakers that enhance and boost the quality of the sound.
The Ellipsis 10 is the successor to the Ellipsis 7 tablet that was launched in 2013. In comparison with its predecessor, the Ellipsis 7 sports a 7-inch IPS LCD screen with a 720p. Inside, this tablet packs a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 8GB of internal memory, and a 4,000 mAh battery. The Ellipsis 7 was priced at $249 off-contract, when it came out, and $149 with a two year plan.
