American Idol returns for its 15th and final season and Ryan Seacrest has confirmed that all former judges will return for the final season. This means Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, Steven Tyler, Kara DioGuardi, Ellen DeGeneres, and even Simon Cowell will return together for the final season.
According to Fox News, Ryan Seacrest says he has spoken to every one of them and they all say they will be there for the last season. Seacrest says it is just a matter of figuring out what to do with all of them since there are so many.
People reports, that Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson were on the show for eight seasons together. Yes, they were the first and main judges for the show but they were all eventually replaced with other judges.
American Idol is a singing competition that allows anyone 16 years old and older to audition in front of the judges. If they receive a "golden ticket" they go on to Hollywood to compete with everyone else who gets a "golden ticket."
The show airs two to three days per week on Fox and will return on January 6 for its 15th and final season. Many people will miss the show airing every year but it was good while it lasted.
