"Modern Family" actress Sofia Vergara took to Instagram to show support for her fellow Colombian Ariadna Gutierrez, who finished first runner-up in the recently concluded Miss Universe 2015 coronation night.
On Dec. 21, Monday, Vergara posted a photo of Gutierrez wearing the Miss Universe 2015 crown with a caption, "La Reina de todos modos @guitierrezary #colombia," which translates to "the queen anyway" in English.
Gutierrez wore the Miss Universe 2015 crown only for a few minutes. Steve Harvey later on had to announce that the rightful owner of the crown was Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach.
Prior to the Miss Universe 2015 coronation night, international beauty pageant fans noticed that there is an uncanny resemblance between Vergara and Gutierrez. The latter is two years younger than the "Modern Family" star's son Manolo Gonzalez-Ripoll Vergara.
Hours before the Miss Universe 2015 coronation night in Las Vegas, Nevada, Sofia was spotted in Venice, California, on set of her brand new Quaker Oats commercial. She was with Manolo, who will also star with his mother in a series of commercials for the brand, according to Just Jared.
Tucked into the snack, Sofia was wearing a hot pink track jacket paired with a black tank with cut-outs and grey leggings on set of the Quaker Oats commercial, Daily Mail reported.
Meanwhile, the "Modern Family" star is set to star in the 2016 comedy film "The Brits are Coming" opposite Alice Eve and Ashley Williams. James Oakley directed the upcoming film and co-wrote the screenplay with Alex Michaelides.
