"New Girl" season 5 episode 2 will see Jess (Zooey Deschanel) dating a guy named Fred (Taran Killam).
According to the show's spoiler site, "What About Fred" will see Jess dating Fred, but not necessarily falling in love with him.
However, Jess will develop a close relationship with Fred's parents that it will become difficult for her to end things with him.
Other guest stars that will appear on "New Girl" season 5 episode 2 include Julie Hagerty and Henry Winkler.
Here's a look at the official synopsis for the episode: "Jess jumps back into the dating pool, but her attempt lands her a dud (guest star Taran Killam), and things get complicated when she falls in love with his perfect parents (guest stars Henry Winkler and Julie Hagerty)."
Meanwhile, "What About Fred" will also feature Nick (Jake Johnson) and Schmidt (Max Greenfield) arguing about the best way to run the bar.
The two male characters will have opposing ideas about the issues, and this will lead to hilarious arguments between them.
At the end of the episode though, the issue may be resolved, and fans will learn whose ideas will be prioritized when it comes to running the bar.
"New Girl" season 5 will also see Megan Fox in multiple episodes. The actress will play the role of Reagan, a pharmaceutical sales rep who will capture the attention of Nick.
The two will date each other temporarily while Jess is away, but Nick will eventually welcome back his feelings for the latter.
"New Girl" season 5 will premiere on FOX sometime next year.
