Android N will be released in May and there a lot of speculations as to the final name of the operating system, whether the "N" stands for Nutella or Nougat.

A lot of users think that the "N" of Android N could stand for Nachos, Nutella, or Nougats. This speculation is based of Google's previous trends of nomenclature. The previous firm wares were named like Cupcake, Ice Cream Sandwich, Gingerbread, Éclair, Jelly Bean, Honeycomb, Lollipop, KitKat along with Marshmallow.

While a lot of smartphone are still waiting for the Android Marshmallow update, Android N may be coming to their devices, sooner than they realise. The upcoming update is rumoured to be released along with a new Google Nexus device. Many devices have already received a confirmation about getting the Android N update soon.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will be released in July with Android N out of the box. Along with this, the other Samsung devices which will get this update very soon are the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 duos.

For users who want to get a taste of this update before its release, they can experience the new Android N features with the Android N developer preview, according to Android Authority. Some of the most highlighted features which Android N has to offer are Direct-reply notifications, Multi-window UI, Bundled notifications, Improved Doze mode, among others.

It is also reported that Android N will allow the users to open two apps in a split-screen mode. This will make it easier for the users to perform multi-tasking and also save on battery, according to GSM Arena.

In addition, the users will now have access to new Quick Settings options, which will help to slide the notifications pane in a downwards direction. It is packed with a more efficient Doze mode, the battery-saving feature of the new OS will also function even when the Android device is idle.

Android N is currently in its final development stage and is expected to be released at the Google I/O conference, which will be held in May.
