On December 18th, 19 primary school students in Loudi city, which is located in the central province of Hunan, China, received yoghurt drinks from Mrs. Peng, a 34-year-old woman, on their way home. After drinking the yoghurt, 19 students, including Mrs. Peng's son, have been hospitalized because the drinks caused vomiting and convulsions. Among the 19 students, 3 students were in serious conditions. Fortunately, the hospital announced that their lives were out of danger.

Suzhou Woman Drowns Daughter to Appease Boyfriend

Pregnant with her ex-boyfriend's baby, Lily, a 20 something year old woman from Suzhou moved into her new boyfriend's house. On Oct. 10, in the middle of the night, she gave birth to a girl in the house's bathroom. A few days later, fearful that her boyfriend was unhappy with the situation, she took her newborn daughter and drown her in a municipal inspection well. She stood beside the well for less than a minute and when the baby began to cry, she left her daughter to drown.

The public has become concerned after seven government officials from different parts of the country died of unnatural causes within a month.
